CREATING TIMELESS MEMORIES WITH YOU

Hi, I’m Vanessa

My mission is to capture your best moments in a spontaneous and natural way, with no posing.

The one advice I’d give to any couple is: “Make sure to choose the right photographer for you.” You see, your wedding day will be one of the best days in your life. Now imagine a photographer that you don’t “click with” being around you the entire day. You should be surrounded with your favourite people and wedding vendors you can trust.

If you’re looking for a person that is relaxed, creative and always smiling, then you’ve come to the right place. Contact me for more info and let’s talk about how I can make you wedding day the best!

Borgo di Castelvecchio and the feeling of Tuscany

Some places stay with you long after you leave them. Borgo di Castelvecchio is one of those. A small medieval village hidden among the rolling hills of Val d’Orcia in Tuscany, where light, stone, and landscape all seem to work together naturally.

It sits near Siena, not far from towns like Pienza, Montepulciano, and Radicofani. The estate dates back to the 11th century and has been carefully restored — old stone walls, wooden beams, worn floors, all still telling their own story. Today it offers a private setting with villas, gardens, pools, and even a small chapel overlooking the countryside.

For a wedding photographer, this place is almost overwhelming in the best way. Morning light is soft and quiet across the hills. Midday brings warmth and texture to the stone. At sunset, everything turns into shades of orange, pink, and deep violet. It’s the kind of light that does most of the work for you.

Why this location works so well for weddings

Privacy changes everything. When a couple books the entire village, the whole experience becomes more personal and relaxed. Guests stay together, meals happen in shared spaces, and the entire place feels alive from morning to night.

There’s no need to rush anywhere. People talk, swim, laugh, eat together. Evenings stretch into long dinners under the sky, filled with local food and wine. Those are the moments that tend to matter most in the final gallery — not staged scenes, but real interactions between people.

Another strong point is variety. One location, many different moods. Quiet preparation rooms with soft window light, olive groves for portraits, open views across the valley for ceremonies, and lively courtyards for dancing late into the night. Everything feels close, but never repetitive.

Working with natural light and real moments

My approach blends documentary storytelling with a more artistic feel. I usually arrive a few days early to understand the place and the rhythm of the day. It helps me stay present without interrupting what’s already happening.

I focus on details when they matter — a dress hanging near an old window, hands adjusting a bouquet, rings resting on a wooden table. During the ceremony, I stay close but unobtrusive, following expressions, reactions, small gestures.

Afterwards, I take couples for a short walk through the landscape. Nothing forced. Just movement, light, and space to breathe. Later in the evening, everything becomes more energetic — music, dancing, laughter, and that unpredictable mix of emotions that makes weddings unique.

Technically, I rely on natural light and fast lenses, keeping things simple and unobtrusive. The editing style stays warm and grounded, reflecting the tones of Tuscany rather than overpowering them.

Planning a wedding in Tuscany

A destination wedding in a place like this takes some planning. Spring and early autumn tend to be the most comfortable seasons. Summer works too, though ceremonies are usually better later in the day when the heat softens.

Working with a local wedding planner makes a big difference. Logistics, timing, permissions — all of that becomes much smoother when someone knows the place well.

For many couples, this kind of wedding feels like a mix of celebration and shared retreat. Everyone stays in one location, which naturally brings people closer together and removes a lot of stress.

An invitation

Borgo di Castelvecchio isn’t just a backdrop. It becomes part of the story. A place where time slows down a little and everything feels more connected.
