As a wedding photographer, I love venues that breathe authenticity, warmth, and a connection with nature. Posestvo Vratarič is one of those hidden gems in the Prekmurje region – an eco-friendly farm near Murska Sobota where local hospitality, seasonal produce, and the charm of a true countryside wedding come together. Weddings here are not just events, but real experiences filled with genuine moments, the scent of fresh earth, and the heartfelt spirit of Prekmurje.
Posestvo Vratarič is located in Polana near Murska Sobota, surrounded by green fields, gardens, and peaceful natural scenery. As an organic farm, it offers its own seasonal vegetables, free-range eggs, and cold-pressed oils. The main celebration space is a large barn that has been transformed into a rustic yet comfortable wedding venue. The surroundings, with magnificent trees, meadows, and open fields, create the perfect backdrop for outdoor weddings. Couples can organize a civil ceremony beneath old trees or inside the barn, while the reception can take place outdoors or under the roof, where guests immediately feel at home.

The barn itself, with its rustic details, is ideal for intimate details, preparations, and evening celebrations. The nearby gardens with organic produce add authentic visual elements, while the surrounding fields and pathways provide opportunities for walks and natural, dynamic couple portraits.
My Approach to Photography at Posestvo Vratarič
At Posestvo Vratarič, I love working in a natural, documentary style with artistic touches. The rustic surroundings and the soft light of Prekmurje allow me to create airy, warm, and honest images. During preparations, I capture intimate moments indoors or outdoors – the morning light falling on the bride’s dress, bouquet details with local flowers, or wedding rings resting on a wooden table. Ceremonies beneath the trees or inside the barn are filled with emotion, which I love to capture in their truest form. In the afternoon and at sunset, I create romantic portraits with the couple among the fields, beneath the walnut tree, or beside the wooden elements of the estate. During dinner and the celebration, I focus on spontaneous moments – laughter around long tables, dancing to accordion music, hugs, and the genuine joy of the guests. The special charm of this estate lies in its homely atmosphere, reflected in the photographs as warmth, freedom, and deep connection.
